More than three of every four race winners — 78 percent, to be exact — in Richmond International Raceway’s 120-race Sprint Cup history have started from inside the top 10, but that’s only been true for half of the last six races at the 0.75mile venue. Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards and Joey Logano all started 17th or worse to win races at the track in 2013 and 2014. But since then, race winners have come from much more preferred starting positions like 1st (Brad Keselowski, fall 2014), 2nd (Kurt Busch, last April) and 3rd (Matt Kenseth, last September).
