Richard “Dick” Howard Camp­bell, 91 of Ris­ing Sun, MD, died Satur­day, April 30, 2016 in the Calvert Manor Health­care Cen­ter, Ris­ing Sun, MD.

Born in Farm­ing­ton, MD, on Septem­ber 19, 1924, he was the son of Gil­bert C. and Mary J. (Hol­land) Camp­bell. He served dur­ing World War II in the U S Navy as a Se­abee and was in the in­va­sion of the Philip­pines.

Dick, a Gideon, was a life mem­ber of Amer­i­can Le­gion Ma­son Dixon Post 194 Ris­ing Sun, MD.

He en­joyed gar­den­ing, fish­ing, and hunt­ing, es­pe­cially rab­bits! In his younger years he coached Ris­ing Sun Lit­tle League.

Be­fore his re­tire­ment he was an Elec­tri­cian, em­ployed by Perry Point VA Med­i­cal Cen­ter.

Sur­vived by his wife of 56 years: Peggy A. Camp­bell and three sons: Richard Camp­bell of Per­ryville, KY, Ed­ward In­man of Reedsville, NC, and Keith Camp­bell of Ris­ing Sun, MD. Dick also has 4 grand­chil­dren and 2 great grand­chil­dren.

Friends and fam­ily may call Wed­nes­day, May 4, 2016 from 11:00 am un­til 1:00 pm at Crouch Fu­neral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Fu­neral ser­vice will be­gin at 1:00 pm.

In­ter­ment with full mil­i­tary hon­ors will fol­low in Brookview Ceme­tery, Ris­ing Sun, MD.
