Pan­thers soft­ball re­mains per­fect with win over Elks

Per­ryville re­mained un­de­feated on the sea­son with a 17-0 non-di­vi­sional vic­tory in five in­nings over vis­it­ing Elk­ton on Mon­day.

Ly­dia Hill turned in a mon­ster day, knock­ing in five runs and scor­ing three times on three hits, in­clud­ing a dou­ble, while Ni­cole DiGi­ambat­tista (home run), Nikki Hill (run) and Sierra John­son (dou­ble, three runs) all drove in two runs for the Pan­thers (16-0), who re­ceived one RBI each from Karly White and Brooke Reynolds.

Ly­dia Hill and starter Emily Phillips com­bined to throw five score­less in­nings from the cir­cle, strik­ing out six and al­low­ing three hits and one walk.

The Golden Elks fall to 4-13 over­all.

Ea­gles edge Ti­tans

Bo­hemia Manor ex­tended its late-sea­son win­ning streak to eight games with a 5-3 non-con­fer­ence win over Tome at Ch­e­sa­peake Lit­tle League on Mon­day.

Tay­lor Ab­sha­gen al­lowed two earned runs in a com­plete game from the cir­cle, scat­ter­ing seven hits and three walks to go along with 10 strike­outs for the Ea­gles (14-3), who re­ceved two hits, in­clud­ing a dou­ble, and an RBI from Rachel Jones.

Mor­gan Mullin dou­bled and scored, Anna Tid­aback recorded an RBI triple and scored and Melinda Mor­gan sin­gled and scored twice in the vic­tory, while Me­gan Horsey added an RBI sin­gle and Kayla McNeal also drove in a run.

UCBAC Girls’ Lacrosse Pan­thers pounce In­di­ans

Per­ryville de­feated host North East 19-11 in Susque­hanna Di­vi­sion girls’ lacrosse ac­tion on Mon­day.

The Pan­thers (9-1 over- all, 5-0 di­vi­sion) were led by eight goals from Syd­nie Bjork and four goals and five as­sists from Tay­lor Poore.

Bea Mus­cella recorded four goals and two as­sists, Veron­ica DiFuc­cia scored twice, Jor­dan Jus­tice and Di­dem Ak­bay each scored once and Claire Hud­son added an as­sist in the vic­tory, while Cali Tyson and Abby Jones made nine and five saves, re­spec­tively.

Bri­anna Christie led the In­di­ans (8-6, 4-4) with five goals and an as­sist and Amy O’Dell recorded a hat trick, while Maria Sham­blin scored twice and Mack­en­sie Kilby added a goal.

Tigers down Ea­gles

Ris­ing Sun de­feated vis­it­ing Bo­hemia Manor 15-2 in Susque­hanna Di­vi­sion girls’ lacrosse ac­tion on Mon­day.

Liz Zata­lava paced the Tigers (7-3 over­all, 5-2 di­vi­sion) with two goals and two as­sists and Emily Fan­ning recorded a hat trick, while Heather Amos had two goals and an as­sist and Lo­gan Alexan­der added one of each.

Mag­gie Palfi, Kait­lyn Shivery, Lorie Bow­man, Cay­ley Hall, Jess Bor­chardt and Marie Ziegler all scored once for Ris­ing Sun, while Ju­lia Boris added an as­sist.

The Ea­gles fall to 0-10 over­all and 0-7 in the lower di­vi­sion.

UCBAC Boys’ Lacrosse Elks top­ple Ti­tans

Elk­ton de­feated vis­it­ing Tome 15-5 in non-con­fer­ence boys’ lacrosse ac­tion on Mon­day.

The Golden Elks im­prove to 7-3 over­all.

Pri­vate School Girls’ Soc­cer Cru­saders earn win

Tri- State Chris­tian de­feated host Ar­ling­ton Babtist 6- 0 in non- con­fer­ence pri­vate school girls’ soc­cer on Mon­day.

Taber Ep­ley recorded a hat trick and dished out one as­sist and Holly Van Vorhis added two goals, while Madie Bur­rows also found the back of the net for the Cru­saders (3-5-1).
