Steven A. Jones, 95, of Not­ting­ham, PA, died on Tues­day, May 3, 2016, at Ware Pres­by­te­rian Home af­ter a brief ill­ness.

Born in Not­ting­ham, PA, he was a son of the late Lewis F. and Myr­tle Gra­son Jones.

Mr. Jones was a life-long resident of Not­ting­ham, PA, and had worked in farm­ing, was a mas­ter car­pen­ter, and a ru­ral mail car­rier for sev­eral years. He loved na­ture and the out­doors, es­pe­cially Not­ting­ham Park. He had a keen me­mory for lo­cal his­tory and has writ­ten of peo­ple and places sur­round­ing his home.

He is sur­vived by a brother, Fred S. Jones and his wife Doris of Ris­ing Sun, MD, and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews.

He was pre­ceded in death by broth­ers, James A., Everett L., Lester P., and Clif­ford D. Jones and sis­ters, Alice Rent­frow and Vi­o­let Mont­gomery.

A grave­side ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. on Mon­day, May 9, at Not­ting­ham Ceme­tery, 110 Ceme­tery Road, Not­ting­ham, PA.

Fu­neral ar­range­ments are be­ing han­dled by the Ed­ward L. Collins Jr. Fu­neral Home, Inc., Ox­ford, PA.
