Foster C. Shahan
— Foster C. Shahan, 83, of Millington, MD, passed away on May 16, 2016 at home.
Mr. Shahan was born on July 10, 1932, son of the late Horace and Lulu Dixon Shahan. He was a lifetime resident of Queen Anne’s County where he was a graduate of Millington High School, Class of 1949. He began his career with DuPont and was called to duty with the U.S. Army, serving a tour in Germany. After his honorable discharge, he continued working for DuPont for 20 years, for the next 17 years with Leaseway at Chrysler Corp, and was also an Electrolux Salesman for 30 years.
He most enjoyed working on his farm. Foster was a life member of the Millington V.F.C. where he had served as president from 1968-1969 and as secretary. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing cards, watching Westerns and reading.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Horace and Dixon Shahan.
Mr. Shahan is survived by his wife, Bonna Sue Magaw Shahan; sons, Paul Shahan (Alice) of Jarrettsville, MD, John Shahan (Lisa) of Salisbury, MD, Roger Shahan of Smyrna, DE and Michael Magaw (Melissa) of Earleville, MD; a brother William Shahan of Middletown, DE; 9 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 20 from 10 am to noon in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at noon. Burial will be held privately.

Jonathan Waddell, Brandy Wynegar, Kristen Edge and Ryan Jones; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren; and her best friend: Becky Pennington of Newark, DE.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pansy was also preceded in death by a son: Richard D. “Doug” Waddell; a daughter: Rita L. Jones; and 5 siblings: Carl Holbrook, Lundy Holbrook, Claude Holbrook, Mazie Campbell and Muriel Stout.
Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Charles Rossiter will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time.
Interment will follow services in Rosebank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
