Ray­mond Carvil Rus­sell, Jr., “Rocky”, age 68, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Tues­day, May 17, 2016. Born in Elkton on June 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Ray­mond C., Sr. and Dorothy Hink­ley Rus­sell. Mr. Rus­sell had been a self-em­ployed truck driver. He loved at­tend­ing fam­ily func­tions and lis­ten­ing to clas­sic rock, es­pe­cially the Bea­tles. An avid sports fan, most no­tably of the Dal­las Cow­boys, he en­joyed play­ing cards.

Sur­vivors in­clude his sons, Pa­trick Rus­sell and Mark Rus­sell, both of North East, MD; 3 grand­chil­dren, Nathan, Cameron, and Alexan­dria Rus­sell; and great-grand­son, Jaxon Rus­sell. In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Rus­sell was pre­ceded in death by his sis­ters, Donna R. Diebold and Roberta “Bobbie” Wal­lace.

Fu­neral ser­vice and in­ter­ment will be pri­vate. In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to St. Jude Chil­dren’s Re­search Hos­pi­tal, in care of Hicks Home for Fu­ner­als, 103 W. Stock­ton Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
