Arlene Louise Millette-Sidonio
Arlene Louise MilletteSidonio, born Dec. 31, 1929, in Milford, MA to Harry Alton Millette and Louisa Deloia. Arlene lived her life loving her family and traveling around the united states to visit them. Arlene passed away suddenly and peacefully on April 22, 2016, while in Maryland staying with her daughter Anita Halsey and husband Sonny.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sisters Rita and Helene, brother Milo, daughters Cheryl Anne, Arlene and Mary, and grandson Joel.
She is survived by two brothers and two sisters; children Robert Sidonio, (Al) Sioux Sidonio (Marvin) (Al), Sandee Robinson (Va), Lynne Fish (Ma), John Sidonio (Amy) (Al), Angela Ying (Dan) (Ma), Anita Halsey (Sonny) (Charlestown, MD), and Marie-Elena Carroll (Wayne) (Havre De Grace, MD). She was blessed by 30 grand kids, 41 great-grand kids, and 8 great-great grandkids as well as numerous neices, nephews and cousins.
Arlene’s passions were traveling, being surrounded by her family and sketching. She would travel from state to state visiting her children and grandchildren. She loved and nurtured many and her love had no end. Her faith in Jesus never waivered and it carried her through many heart aches in her lifetime. She truly was a beautiful woman inside and out and will be missed dearly by all whose hearts she touched.
Funeral services and a mass were held at St Annes Catholic Church, Dorchester, MA April 29-30, 2016. The family will be holding a gathering in Charlestown to celebrate her life for those who couldn’t make the journey north. has 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlin Stevenson; and sisters, Oakie, Virginia, Marie and Josephine.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Calvert Manor for taking such wonderful care of Mrs. Stevenson and for loving her so much!
Funeral service with interment in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, will be private.
