Charles “Amey” Gos­den Todd, 86, of Per­ryville, MD, died Mon­day, May 23, 2016 peace­fully at home sur­rounded by his fam­ily. Born Nov. 28, 1929 in Per­ryville, MD, he was the son of the late El­bert W. and Mar­guerite Ar­baugh Todd.

Amey was a vet­eran of the U.S. Army hav­ing served dur­ing the Korean Con­flict. He was a mem­ber of the Per­ryville Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany, the Susque­hanna Amer­i­can Le­gion Post No. 135 of Per­ryville, MD, and the V.F.W. Post No. 8126 of Havre de Grace, MD.

Amey is re­tired from the Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground of Aberdeen, MD, where he was em­ployed as a Civil­ian Gun­ner. He is sur­vived by his son, Jef­fery W. But­ler; daugh­ters, Luer­ena K. Daugh­erty and Kath­leen E. Todd; five grand­chil­dren; five great grand­chil­dren; brother, Lester Todd; and sis­ter, Sue Stern.

Amey was pre­ceded in death by his wife, Jane J. But­ler Todd.

In lieu of flow­ers, memo­rial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the Per­ryville Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany in care of Lee A. Pat­ter­son & Son Fu­neral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Per­ryville, MD 21903-0766.

Fu­neral ser­vices are sched­uled for Satur­day, May 28, 11 a.m. at the Per­ryville Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany of Per­ryville, MD. Visi­ta­tions for fam­ily and friends will be held Fri­day, May 27, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Per­ryville Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany. Pas­tor Michael A. Cald­well of As­bury United Methodist Church of Port De­posit, MD, will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment will be in As­bury Ceme­tery, Port De­posit, MD.
