On May 24, 2016, James Daniel Marousek un­ex­pect­edly passed away. James (Jim) was very spe­cial to his fam­ily and friends. He was a friend to all and loved life. He was an artist, mu­si­cian, had a thirst for knowl­edge and a pas­sion for the Orioles and Ravens.

Af­ter grad­u­at­ing from Tow­son Uni­ver­sity with a de­gree in Mass Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, Jim worked as a Data­base Ad­min­is­tra­tor for Matthews Me­dia Group in Rockville, MD.

Jim is sur­vived by his beloved fi­ancé Clare Frey; he was the de­voted son of Diane Marousek (nee Rup­pert) and the late Thomas J. Marousek Sr.; the dear brother of Thomas J. Marousek Jr. and his wife Linda Alison Marousek; the lov­ing un­cle of Emma Lau­ren Marousek; and the beloved grand­son of Dolores Rup­pert; he is also sur­vived by a host of lov­ing fam­ily and friends.

Friends may call at the fam­ily-owned Ruck Tow­son Fu­neral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (belt­way exit 26) on Mon­day from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Vigil Ser­vice will be held at 8 p.m. A Fu­neral Mass will be cel­e­brated at the Church of the Im­mac­u­late Con­cep­tion, Tow­son, MD on Tues­day at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment Du­laney Val­ley Memo­rial Gar­dens.
