Ste­rial Stacy, 76, of Elk­ton, MD, passed away Thurs­day, May 26, 2016 in Union Hos­pi­tal of Ce­cil County, Elk­ton, MD.

He was born in B l a c k e y, VA, on May 29, 1939. Mr. Stacy was the beloved hus­band of 56 years of Freda M. Stacy.

He served his coun­try proudly in the U.S. Army. Self-em­ployed, he worked paint­ing and wall­pa­per­ing for many years.

Mr. Stacy was a mem­ber of the Moose Lodge, New Cas­tle Co., DE; en­joyed watch­ing west­ern movies and cook­ing. He loved be­ing out­side do­ing yard work and tak­ing care of his veg­etable gar­den, shar­ing the fruits of his la­bor with those he loved.

In ad­di­tion to his lov­ing wife, sur­vivors also in­clude four chil­dren: Carla Parker of Long Neck, DE, Brian Stacy, Drema Dean and Tammy Evans, all of North East, MD; six sis­ters: Dolores Mongun of Ft. Val­ley, VA, Vaugel Church of Statesville, NC, Linda Roberts of Hanover, WV, Edna Mo­ran of Blue­field, WV, Marie Dougherty of Hanover, VA, Sarah Rif­fey of Blue­field, WV ; three broth­ers: Ker­mit Stacy of Hanover, WV, Carl Stacy of Hanover, WV, Cor­man Stacy of Wilm­ing­ton, DE; nine grand­chil­dren and nine great grand­chil­dren.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents: Wil­liam and Laura (Mullins) Stacy; and three broth­ers: Roy Mullins, Van Mullins and Estil Stacy.

Fu­neral ser­vices, con­ducted by Rev. Woody Fan­nin will be held Wednesday, June 1, 11 a.m. at Crouch Fu­neral Home, P.A., 127 South Main St., North East, MD, with vis­i­ta­tion beginning at 10 a.m. un­til ser­vice time.

In­ter­ment will fol­low ser­vices in North East Methodist Ceme­tery, North East, MD.
