Doyle Wil­son, 72, of Elk­ton, MD, passed away on Thurs­day, May 26, 2016. Born in Ten­nessee on Oct. 5, 1943, he was the son of John and Ge­or­gia Wil­son.

He was a con­struc­tion worker and later worked for the Ce­cil County Pub­lic School sys­tem.

Doyle was a kind and gen­tle man who loved gar­den­ing and en­joyed shar­ing his har­vest with oth­ers.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Nancy Pfeif­fer Wil­son, and sib­lings Robert, Alpha, Ge­orge, Crock­ett, Rowena, Ron­ald, Venus and Nancy, along with nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews.

Me­mo­rial ser­vices will be pri­vate.

Ches. City to hold can­di­date fo­rum Thurs­day

CH­E­SA­PEAKE CITY

— Town vot­ers who have not made up their minds in the June 6 mu­nic­i­pal elec­tion will have a good chance to meet and talk with the two may­oral and four coun­cil can­di­dates Thurs­day.

A fo­rum is set for 6:30 p.m. Thurs­day at Trin­ity United Methodist Church, lo­cated at 450 3rd St., where vot­ers can hear from Mayor Dean Geraci­mos and his chal­lenger, Coun­cil­man Frank Vari. Also in­vited to par­tic­i­pate are in­cum­bent coun­cil­men Tom Mor­ris and Harry Samp­son and their chal­lengers Bill Staker and Joe Mac­Don­ald.

Polls will be open Mon­day from 1 to 7:30 p.m. at town hall on the south side and the Ch­e­sa­peake City fire hall on the north side. Co­in­ci­den­tally, it is the same day that work is sched­uled to be­gin on the Ch­e­sa­peake City Bridge.
