Nor­ris­town – Janet Bren­ner Robin­son Strat­ton, 93, died May 27, 2016 at her home.

Born June 22, 1922, in North Wales, Penn­syl­va­nia, she was the daugh­ter of the late Harry E. and Elsie Rowan Bren­ner. She was also pre­ceded in death by her sis­ter, Vir­ginia Bren­ner Stocker, and her hus­bands, Carl A. Robin­son (1967) and Bruce D. Strat­ton (1987).

As a homemaker in Ce­cil County MD, she was ac­tive in the Ce­cil Co. Li­brary as­so­ci­a­tion, the His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety and the PTA. She served as the Pres­i­dent of each and wrote a weekly col­umn for the lo­cal paper. In the 1950s she, along with Pa­tri­cia DuPont and Dickie Cashel, es­tab­lished the Fair Hill Pony Club. From 1967 to 1978 she worked as Head Re­cep­tion­ist for the DuPont Co. in Ne­wark, DE. Af­ter re­tire­ment, she en­joyed trav­el­ing the world and spend­ing time with her fam­ily.

Janet is sur­vived by her daugh­ter, Carol Zecha, her son, Jay Robin­son, grand­chil­dren, great-grand­chil­dren, and other fam­ily and friends.

Grave­side ser­vices will be held at a time to be de­ter­mined by her fam­ily.
