Ed­win Alker Orvis, 85, of Colora, MD, passed away peace­fully May 28, 2016 at Chris­tiana Hos­pi­tal.

Ed was a mem­ber of the Army Corps of Engi­neers dur­ing the Korean War. He owned a gro­cery store in Row­landsville and owned an An­gus Farm in Conowingo for many years. Later in life, he worked at Al­gers, West­ern Auto, and Martins.

Sur­viv­ing him is his wife of 63 years, Nancy. He was pre­ceded in death by his mother, Ma­bel Alker Orvis.

As Ed wished, ser­vices will be pri­vate.
