‘Gate to Plate’ tav­ern night

Lo­cal food for lo­cal peo­ple is the theme of the up­com­ing “Gate to Plate” tav­ern night at Mount Har­mon Plan­ta­tion in Ear­leville.

Tick­ets are now on sale for the din­ner, which hap­pens at 6 p.m. on Satur­day. Farm-raised foods and lo­cal wine and beer will be part of the meal.

The car­riage house

vis­i­tor cen­ter will be trans­formed into an old-time tav­ern for the fes­tive oc­ca­sion. On the menu: roast chicken, root veg­eta­bles, spring salad, ar­ti­san bread, pie and ice cream. Par­tic­i­pat­ing businesses in­clude Crow Farm, Eve’s Cheese, Mil­burn Or­chards, Pri­api Gar­dens and Wood­side Farm Cream­ery.
