Elkton Police Department, Cecil County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police were looking for at least one victim and a suspect. The victim, according to early reports, was a pregnant woman.

Kahlie McClellan said she was in the office at West End Gardens when she heard two shots fired.

“I heard the gunshots. I know it was here,” she said.

Other witnesses claimed the shooting happened elsewhere, but the victim came to the apartments to get help.

McClellan said that not long after the shots were fired, she saw unfamiliar cars.

“There was a car — either dark blue or black — it goes rushing out of here, and I see a girl in the front seat crying,” she recalled. “Then a white car pulls up with three people inside.”

She saw the white car and the blue car pause. When the blue car left, she asked if the woman in that car was OK.
