Rev­erend Thomas J. Palko, O.S.F.S., died Mon­day, May 30, 2016. Fu­neral Mass 11:15 a.m., Fri­day, June 3, Our Lady of Light Chapel, 1120 Blue Ball Road, Elk­ton, MD. Visi­ta­tion 10-11 a.m. Con­tri­bu­tions: Oblates of St. Fran­cis de Sales, 2200 Kent­mere Park­way, Wilm­ing­ton, DE 19806. hick­shome­for­fu­ner­als.com in MD with the Class of 1956, and had worked for the Trop­i­cana Com­pany in FL from which she re­tired. She was a member of the Bev­erly Pres­by­te­rian Church, was an out­stand­ing cook, en­joyed board and card games and read­ing. She was a de­voted wife and mother and left an im­pres­sion on ev­ery­one she met.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at the Lohr & Barb Fu­neral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 p.m. Mon­day. On Tues­day, June 7, Mrs. Smith will be moved to the Bev­erly Pres­by­te­rian Church at Bev­erly, WV, where final rites will be con­ducted at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. David Bower will of­fi­ci­ate and in­ter­ment will fol­low at the Mount Ver­non Ceme­tery at Bev­erly, WV.
