It’s been nearly 41 years since NASCAR made its debut at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania. Richard Petty won that race, the 1974 Purolator 500, after leading 152 laps. Since then, the track has hosted only Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series events. But that changes Saturday when the XFINITY Series makes its debut at the 2.5-mile triangle with the Pocono Green 250. Forty cars are entered in the event that provides somewhat of a home race for series sponsor XFINITY, based in Philadelphia.
