Dorothy A. (Gil­bert) Hudler, 79, of North East, MD, passed away on Mon­day, June 13, 2016, at 12:05 a.m. in Union Hospi­tal, Elk­ton, MD.

Born in Har­ford Co., MD, on March 18, 1937, she was the daugh­ter of Jesse and An­nie Gil­bert. She was the wife of Robert W. Hudler Sr. who pre­ceded her in death on April 19, 1994.

Dorothy was a mem­ber of the First Bap­tist Church of North East, MD, and served in sev­eral po­si­tions. She drove a school bus for 12 years and also worked as a GNA at Calvert Manor Nurs­ing Home. She en­joyed gospel mu­sic. How­ever, her best times were trav­el­ing with Bob and vis­it­ing friends.

Sur­vivors in­clude her four chil­dren: Robert W. Hudler Jr. (Nancy), Richard Paul Hudler (Deb­bie), Linda Go­col­in­ski, Sharon Ruth Hudler, all of North East, MD; three grand­sons: Kurt Robert Hudler (Erica) of West Ch­ester, PA, Craig Wil­liam Hudler and Jonathan Kyle Hudler of North East; and one spe­cial great grand­daugh­ter: Ri­ley Madi­son Hudler of West Ch­ester, PA.

In ad­di­tion to her hus­band, she was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents and sib­lings.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be grave­side by Rev. Robert Hall for fam­ily and friends at Union Ceme­tery, Elk­ton, MD, at 10:30 a.m. on Satur­day, June 18 with a memo­rial ser­vice con­ducted by Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hokuf to fol­low at 1 p.m. at First Bap­tist Church of North East, North East, MD. A fel­low­ship meal will fol­low.
