County Chamber inducts new officers
— The Cecil County Chamber of Commerce inducted a slate of new officers June 9 at their annual lunch meeting at the Chesapeake Inn while they listened to Cecil County Public Schools Superintendent D’Ette Devine discuss educational opportunities ahead.
Devine highlighted new programs designed to prepare students for the future, as well as pointing out ways
for the business community to support these programs. She shared information on the School of Technology, STEM program and Project Lead the Way with the nearly 60 attendees Thursday.
Chamber Chairman of the Board Joe DiNunzio, vice president of Artesian Water, passed the gavel to incoming Board Chair Jake Ruddy, of PCS.
Ruddy introduced three new board members: Patty Croce, of American Energy Corporation; Patti Paulus, of The Palette & The Page LLC; and Bill Pritchard, of Union Hospital Foundation. Ruddy also installed Jack Schammel, of Leading Logic LLC, as the new vice chair and Pritchard as the new treasurer.
DiNunzio thanked outgoing board members Mario Gangemi, of Cecil Business Leaders, and Scott Sturgill, of Harford Bank.
