Robert Ra­m­age Dunn III, 64, of Mon­terey, VA, passed away Fri­day, June 10, 2016 at Au­gusta Health. He was born Sept. 28, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Robert R. Dunn Jr. and Betty J. Dunn.

Bob re­tired from Siemens AG in Newark, DE in 2012 and moved to Mon­terey, where he and Tate built their re­tire­ment home.

Sur­viv­ing fam­ily mem­bers in­clude his wife, Tate Swecker Dunn; his daugh­ter, Katie E. Dunn of Brook­lyn, NY; his son, Sa­muel C. Dunn of Tow­son, MD; brother, Kevin S. Dunn of Lees­burg; un­cle, Wil­liam Dunn Sr. of Lewes, DE, as well as his beloved niece and neph­ews; two great-neph­ews and great­niece; and his spe­cial com­pan­ion, Teddy.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he was pre­ceded in death by his wife, Rose M.V. Dunn and his brother, Dar­rell E. Dunn.

Bob was a com­pas­sion­ate and kind man who touched the lives of ev­ery­one he met. In ad­di­tion to his im­me­di­ate fam­ily, he leaves be­hind ex­tended fam­ily, friends, and a com­mu­nity whose lives were en­riched by hav­ing known him.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life Ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun­day, June 26 at Mon­terey Pres­by­te­rian Church, Spruce St., Mon­terey, VA, with the Rev. Anne Ross of­fi­ci­at­ing.
