Anne M. Swan, “Gram”, age 88, of Lan­den­berg, PA passed away on Satur­day, June 18, 2016. She was born on June 30, 1927 in Fair Hill, MD to the late C. Stan­ley and Grace (Mar tin­dell) Moore.

Anne was a grad­u­ate of Ken­more High School and Goldey Col­lege. In ad­di­tion to farm­ing with her hus­band, she worked for 32 years as a sec­re­tary in the De­part­ment of Agri­cul­ture at the Univer­sity of Delaware. She en­joyed trips to the fam­ily cabin in Maine, camp­ing, week­ends at the river, bowl­ing, bus trips, a good rock­ing chair, coun­try mu­sic, dances at the Grange Halls, and mow­ing grass. Most of all, she loved spend­ing time with her fam­ily and be­ing on the farm. She was well known for her pan­cakes, her sense of hu­mor and love that she ex­tended to ev­ery­one and made them feel like fam­ily.

Anne is sur­vived by her son, Thomas K. Swan; brother, Charles S. Moore (Betty) ; sis­ter, Emily Shoun; daugh­ter-in-law, Michele Craig Swan; sis­ter-in­law Alice S. John­son; five grand­chil­dren, Bradley Swan (Lisa), Crys­tal Swan (Isuru), Me­gan Swan Delp (Howard), Gre­gory Swan, and Matthew Swan; Many nieces and neph­ews, and two great-grand­chil­dren. She will be missed by many other ex­tended fam­ily mem­bers who called her “Gram”.

In ad­di­tion to her parents, she is pre­de­ceased by her hus­band, Richard T. Swan; her son, Ken­neth S. Swan; sis­ters, Ruth Diem, Miriam Tay­lor and Dorothy Reynolds; daugh­ter- in-law, Donna G. Swan, and grand­daugh­ter, Jen­nifer Swan.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Anne’s life will be held at 11AM on Satur­day, June 25, 2016 at R.T. Foard & Jones Fu­neral Home, 122 West Main Street, Ne­wark, DE 19711. Friends and fam­ily may visit 2 hours prior be­gin­ning at 9AM. Burial will fol­low at Kem­blesville United Methodist Ceme­tery in Kem­blesville, PA. In lieu of flow­ers, memo­rial con­tri­bu­tion checks can be made to “West Grove Fire Com­pany” or the “Fair Hill Na­ture Cen­ter” and sent c/o the fu­neral home.
