William Der­rick Warner, Sr.

William Der­rick Warner, Sr., of Charlestown, MD, died Satur­day, June 25, 2016. Born Oc­to­ber 16, 1933 in Sike­ston, MO, he was the son of the late Evan Der­rick and Roberta Gi­vans Warner.

Mr. Warner was a mem­ber of the Ris­ing Sun Church of the Nazarene, Ris­ing Sun, MD, and a vet­eran of the U.S. Navy. He is a re­tired Ra­di­ol­ogy Tech­ni­cian of the V.A. Mary­land Health Care Sys­tem of Perry Point, MD.

Mr. Warner was a de­voted and lov­ing hus­band, fa­ther, grand­fa­ther and great grand­fa­ther. He is sur­vived by his wife, Dorothy Vir­ginia Kane Warner of Charlestown, MD; sons, William Der­rick Warner, Jr. and wife, Pa­tri­cia, and John Pa­trick Warner; daugh­ter, Deb­o­rah Su­san Neel and hus­band, Chris; nine grand­chil­dren; 16 great grand­chil­dren; brother, Robert Lewis Warner, Sr. and wife, Au­drey; and sis­ter, Carol Jane Daniels and hus­band, Bob.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Warner was pre­ceded in death by his son, Michael Evan Warner.

Fu­neral ser­vices are sched­uled for Fri­day, July 1, 2016, 12 Noon, at the Ris­ing Sun Church of the Nazarene, Ris­ing Sun, MD. Vis­i­ta­tion for fam­ily and friends will be held Fri­day, July 1, 2016, 11 AM un­til 12 Noon, at the church. Pas­tor Dana S. Howard of the Ris­ing Sun Church of the Nazarene will of­fi­ci­ate.
