Irvin Mitchell “Weed” Deibert
Irvin Mitchell “Weed” Deibert, 74, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Laurelwood Nursing Home in Elkton, MD. He was born on July 27, 1941 in Elkton, MD to Ruth K. McKeown Deibert and the late Foster L. Deibert Sr.
“Weed”, as he was known to his friends and family, graduated from Elkton High School, and started work at the Chysler Corp. in Newark, DE, where he served for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of Union Local 1183 for Chrysler Corp. He also served in the National Guard for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #851 in Cherry Hill, MD, American Legion Cecil Post #15, and a long time member of the Elkton United Methodist Church. He was an avid soccer player, playing soccer for the Elkton team for Johnnie Simmons. He enjoyed dancing, shooting darts and helping his friends and family where he could.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth K. Deibert of Elkton, MD; son, Davis Deibert of Middletown, DE;
