Eugene James Clark, 75, of Elk­ton, MD, died Mon­day, July 4, 2016 at his res­i­dence. Born April 26, 1941 in Ris­ing Sun, MD, he was the son of the late Melvin and Mary Boddy Clark.

Gene was re­tired from Stan­cills, Inc., of Perryville, MD, where for 22 years he was em­ployed as an equip­ment op­er­a­tor. Prior to work­ing at Stan­cills, Gene was a se­cu­rity guard at the Ce­cil County multi-pur­pose of­fice build­ing. Gene loved fly­ing his re­mote con­trol air­planes and the Swan Har­bor RC Club.

Gene is sur­vived by his lov­ing com­pan­ion, Ruth Cooper, of Elk­ton, MD; wife, Vi­ola Clark; chil­dren, Steve, Karen, Sharon, Natasha and Ash­ley; sev­eral grand­chil­dren; sev­eral great grand­chil­dren; brother, Carl Clark; sis­ter, Kem­pie Draper.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Gene was pre­ceded in death by his brother, Al­fonso Clark, and sis­ter, Mary Ed­wards.

In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the Lee A. Pat­ter­son & Son Fu­neral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.

Visi­ta­tion for fam­ily and friends will be held Satur­day, July 9, 6 p.m. un­til 8 p.m. at the Lee A. Pat­ter­son & Son Fu­neral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Burial will be pri­vate.
