Joseph Ray­mond Guay, 72, passed away on July 4, 2016. He was born on Jan. 26, 1944 in Fall River, Mas­sachusetts, to Joseph R. Guay Sr. and Leona (Viens) Guay.

Joseph was a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 135 of Perryville, MD. He was em­ployed as a route sales­man in the food snack in­dus­try in Mas­sachusetts. From 1996 to present day, he was an auc­tion man­ager for Amer­i­can Auc­tion­ing and Ap­prais­ers in West­min­ster, MD.

Joseph is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife, Aline Guay of Port De­posit, MD; son, Kevin Guay of Nor­ton, MA; daugh­ter, Kim­berly Guay of Port De­posit, MD; six grand­chil­dren: Tif­fany Cordeiro, Kyle Cordeiro, Jeromy Cordeiro, Ken­dra Dono­van, Chase Mercier and April Du­mont; and one great-grand­daugh­ter, Char­lotte Dono­van.

A cel­e­bra­tion of Joseph’s life will be held on Fri­day, July 8, 11 a.m. at R.T. Foard Fu­neral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen St., Ris­ing Sun, MD 21911. A visi­ta­tion will be held one hour prior, where fam­ily and friends are wel­comed to at­tend.
