Two-car accident sends four to area hospitals
— A two-car accident Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Blue Ball and Warburton roads sent four people to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, according to a Cecil County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
The accident happened at about 1 p.m. when a 2010 Subaru Impreza driven by Iiana Thia Wolff, 27, ran a stop sign at Warburton and Blue Ball roads, striking a 2013 Chrysler 200 driven by Robert Lusk, 61, of Elkton, on the driver’s side door, said Cpl. James Keller, a reconstruction specialist with the sheriff’s office.
Keller said the two vehicles continued traveling across the road, eventually coming to a stop on the Blue Ball Road property. The accident report said the Subaru rolled onto its passenger side, trapping Wolff, who had to be extricated. She was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma where she was treated and released, police said.
The Chrysler struck three different trees before coming to a stop on the property. The driver and two passengers were transported by ambulance to Union Hospital in Elkton for evaluation.
