Day­ton Nel­son Horse­man, 82, of Bethel, Ken­tucky, went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2016, at Stan­ton Nurs­ing Cen­ter in Stan­ton, Ken­tucky. He was born on Oct. 28, 1933, in Sher­burne, Ken­tucky, to the late Jewell Horse­man and Mil­dred Garner Horse­man Burgess and grad­u­ated from Bethel High School.

He was hap­pily mar­ried for 43 years to the late Iris Ruth Williams of Wil­liamsport, PA. He was a re­tired air­craft me­chanic at At­lantic Avi­a­tion Cor­po­ra­tion and Camp­bell Soup Cor­po­ra­tion, both in Wilm­ing­ton, DE, and Union Camp Cor­po­ra­tion in Franklin, VA. He was also hon­or­ably dis­charged from the United States Navy as a Petty Of­fi­cer, 2nd class. He at­tended the Owingsville First Church of God.

He is sur­vived by one son, Drew Horse­man, and two grand­sons, Wil­liam and Ti­mothy Horse­man, all of Bear, DE, and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. Be­sides his wife and par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by his sis­ter, Dorothy Bai­ley of Peb­ble, Ken­tucky, and James Horse­man of Winch­ester, Ken­tucky.

Ser­vices were held on Sunday, July 3 at the Owingsville First Church of God by the Rev­erend Lowell Rice. Burial fol­lowed in the Muncy Ceme­tery in Muncy, PA.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Scobee Fu­neral Home in Winch­ester, KY, is in charge of ar­range­ments.
