Pa­tri­cia Ellen Mur­ray, 83, died Wed­nes­day, July 13, 2016. Born in Port De­posit, MD, she was the daugh­ter of the late Jerome Pa­trick Mur­ray and Ma­belle Thomp­son Mur­ray.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, Miss Mur­ray was pre­ceded in death by her sis­ter, Mary M. Grafton.

Miss Mur­ray is sur­vived by her sis­ters, El­iz­a­beth E. Bol­giano and Ann C. Moore. She was the beloved aunt of 14 nieces and neph­ews and 27 great nieces and neph­ews.

Miss Mur­ray grad­u­ated from the for­mer Ja­cob Tome In­sti­tute of Port De­posit, MD. She earned a teach­ing de­gree from The State Teacher’s Col­lege at Tow­son and a Master’s de­gree in ed­u­ca­tion from the Univer­sity of Delaware. She taught sec­ond grade for 30 years at Bain­bridge El­e­men­tary School.

Miss Mur­ray was a de­voted life-long mem­ber of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Port De­posit. An avid trav­eler, she vis­ited over 24 for­eign coun­tries and all 50 states.

Fu­neral ser­vices are sched­uled for Wed­nes­day, July 20, 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church of Port De­posit, MD. Visi­ta­tion for fam­ily and friends will be held Tues­day, July 19, 6 p.m. un­til 8 p.m. at the Lee A. Pat­ter­son & Son Fu­neral Home, P.A., Per­ryville, MD. Fa­ther Jay McKee of Good Shep­herd Par­ish of Per­ryville, MD, will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment will be in As­cen­sion Epis­co­pal Church Ceme­tery, Scar­boro, MD.
