Dis­ap­pointed in Ho­gan’s ab­sence

I was dis­ap­pointed to see news of Gov. Larry Ho­gan not at­tend­ing the Repub­li­can Na­tional Con­ven­tion — and ob­vi­ously be­ing proud at that be­hav­ior.

I think it is a fail­ure of lead­er­ship and rep­re­sen­ta­tion. It is very much like the cit­i­zen who says, “There is no good can­di­date to vote for, there­fore I am not vot­ing.”

This is ir­re­spon­si­ble — like the ostrich, hid­ing his head in the ground to avoid re­al­ity.
