Regina G. Sprout, 83, of Elk­ton, MD, passed away Sun­day, July 24, 2016. Born in Elk­ton on Novem­ber 18, 1932, she was the daugh­ter of the late Is­sachar and Mary Hitchens Gar­rett.

Mrs. Sprout loved be­ing with her fam­ily, at­tend­ing yard sales, and read­ing. She also en­joyed dig­ging for an­tique bot­tles with her hus­band.

Sur­vivors in­clude her chil­dren, Christine Neuer (Stephen), Bel­ton, TX, Ralph Sprout, Elk­ton, MD, David Sprout (Hazel), North East, MD, Mary Clare Ju­dit­ski (Jamie), Elk­ton, MD, Tim Sprout (Judy), Smith­field, NC, Paula Thomas (Tim), Elk­ton, MD and Gar­rett Sprout (Jen), Elk­ton, MD; sib­lings, Ma­ri­etta Dick­er­son, Ne­wark, DE and Sr. Is­abel Gar­rett, O.S.F., Philadel­phia, PA; 17 grand­chil­dren, 26 great­grand­chil­dren and a great­great-grand­daugh­ter.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, Mrs. Sprout was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 57 years, Ralph M. Sprout, and sis­ters, Mae Gar­rett, Dorothy Archibald, Anna An­drews, Ag­gie Turnbull and Delores Hauge and broth­ers, Abby Gar­rett and Jack Gar­rett.

Visi­ta­tion is pri­vate. Grave­side ser­vice with in­ter­ment in Cherry Hill Methodist Ceme­tery will be held 11 a.m., Wed­nes­day, July 27, 2016.

In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Union Hos­pi­tal Bas­kets of Hope, c/o Hicks Home for Fu­ner­als, 103 W. Stock­ton St., Elk­ton, MD 21921.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Ed was pre­ceded in death by Eileen O’Hara Stubbs, mother of his three chil­dren; his sec­ond wife, Linda Ash­bridge Stubbs, who passed away at the age of 40; and his son, Ed­ward Stubbs, III.

The fam­ily would like to give spe­cial thanks to the Trin­ity Home Health Care­givers who have helped them care for Ed since Jan­uary 2015. A spe­cial thank you to CNA Rose who has been with him since May, and to Nurse RaeAnn of Amedisys Hospice.

Visi­ta­tion and a Me­mo­rial Ser­vice will be held at Hicks Home for Fu­ner­als, 103 W. Stock­ton Street, Elk­ton, MD 21921, on Fri­day, July 29, 2016, from 11 a.m. un­til 1 p.m. Me­mo­rial Ser­vice by Rev. Karen F. Bun­nell will be­gin at 1 p.m. In­ter­ment will be pri­vate.

In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, or to Ch­e­sa­peake City Ec­u­meni­cal As­so­ci­a­tion, in care of the fu­neral home at the above ad­dress.
