Regina G. Sprout
Regina G. Sprout, 83, of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born in Elkton on November 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Issachar and Mary Hitchens Garrett.
Mrs. Sprout loved being with her family, attending yard sales, and reading. She also enjoyed digging for antique bottles with her husband.
Survivors include her children, Christine Neuer (Stephen), Belton, TX, Ralph Sprout, Elkton, MD, David Sprout (Hazel), North East, MD, Mary Clare Juditski (Jamie), Elkton, MD, Tim Sprout (Judy), Smithfield, NC, Paula Thomas (Tim), Elkton, MD and Garrett Sprout (Jen), Elkton, MD; siblings, Marietta Dickerson, Newark, DE and Sr. Isabel Garrett, O.S.F., Philadelphia, PA; 17 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and a greatgreat-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sprout was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ralph M. Sprout, and sisters, Mae Garrett, Dorothy Archibald, Anna Andrews, Aggie Turnbull and Delores Hauge and brothers, Abby Garrett and Jack Garrett.
Visitation is private. Graveside service with interment in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by Eileen O’Hara Stubbs, mother of his three children; his second wife, Linda Ashbridge Stubbs, who passed away at the age of 40; and his son, Edward Stubbs, III.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Trinity Home Health Caregivers who have helped them care for Ed since January 2015. A special thank you to CNA Rose who has been with him since May, and to Nurse RaeAnn of Amedisys Hospice.
Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, on Friday, July 29, 2016, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Memorial Service by Rev. Karen F. Bunnell will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, or to Chesapeake City Ecumenical Association, in care of the funeral home at the above address.
