At­tempted ar­son leaves $500 worth of dam­age

— An at­tempted ar­son caused $ 500 worth of dam­age to a mo­bile home and shed, ac­cord­ing to Mary­land State Fire Mar­shal of­fi­cials. Paul Do­manksi, the owner of the mo­bile home and shed lo­cated at 645 Knights Is­land Road in the In­dian Acres com­mu­nity in Ear­leville, was last at his prop­erty two weeks ago. When he re­turned on Tues­day morn­ing, he saw the scorch marks on his 10- by- 30- foot home and 8- by- 10- foot shed, ac­cord­ing to a re­lease.

Do­man­ski called the Ce­cil County Sher­iff’s Of­fice at 9: 41 a. m., Sr. Deputy State Fire Mar­shal Oliver Alkire said. He said when the deputies ar­rived they saw the scorch marks and then called the fire mar­shal’s of­fice.

Alkire said some type of open flame de­vices were placed up against the trailer and shed at mul­ti­ple ar­eas, but did not ig­nite.

He said no in­juries or deaths were re­ported. “It’s un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion,” Alkire said. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing the in­ci­dent is asked to call the North­east Re­gional Of­fice at ( 410) 836- 4844.
