— Memo­rial Ser­vices for Mr. Jer­rold Wayne “Jerry” Butcher, 72, of Aiken, SC, who en­tered into rest on July 16, 2016, will be con­ducted Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon at 4 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel.

Rev­erend Jay Knotts of­fi­ci­at­ing. Vet­er­ans Hon­ors will be ren­dered by the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Butcher was a na­tive of Mar­lin­ton, WV, a former res­i­dent of Colora, MD, hav­ing made Aiken his home for the past seven years. He was a U.S. Air Force Vet­eran and a re­tired Driver with Overnight Trans­porta­tion.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife of 53 years, Brenda Sue Butcher; a son and daugh­ter-in-law, Vince and Tammy Butcher, North Au­gusta; a daugh­ter and son-in-law, Pam and Rick Ra­gan, Conowingo, MD; four grand­chil­dren: Jenna (Brian) Moore, Craig Butcher, Jef­fery Wil­son and John Ra­gan; three great grand­chil­dren: Colyn Moore, Car­son Moore and Kelsey Moore; a sis­ter, Dreama Dun­lap, Charleston, WV.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at the funeral home fol­low­ing the ser­vice.
