James Allan Kline, 80, passed away on Sun­day, July 31, 2016 at Manor House in Seaford, DE. He was born July 11, 1936 in Elk­ton, MD, son of the late Mar­shall C. Kline and El­iz­a­beth Cham­bers Kline.

Jim was a 1954 grad­u­ate of Elk­ton High School. He was em­ployed by the Ce­cil County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion be­fore serv­ing four years in the United States Coast Guard. While serv­ing in the Coast Guard, he mar­ried Suzanne F. Sauro of Fair­mont, WV on Aug. 23, 1959. Soon af­ter his dis­charge, he be­gan em­ploy­ment with Sauro’s Dry Clean­ers in Fair­mont where he stayed for 45 years.

The Klines moved to Seaford, DE in 2005 where they be­came stead­fast mem­bers of the Manor House Com­mu­nity as well as ac­tive mem­bers of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford.

Jim is sur­vived by his wife of 57 years, Suzanne F. Kline; his sis­ter-in-law, Rae Kline of Elk­ton, MD; three neph­ews: Joseph A. Kline, Ken­neth Michael Kline, and Wayne D. Kline; and four grand nieces and neph­ews. In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he was pre­ceded in death by his son, Dou­glas C. Kline, his daugh­ter, Laura M. Ham­mack, his son-in-law, Stephen Ham­mack, and his brother, Mar­shall C. Kline Jr.

In­ter­ment will be held in Fair­mont, WV, at a later date.
