On Au­gust 2, 2016, Wil­liam O. Lyn­erd Sr. passed away peace­fully in Fayet­teville, NC. He was 93. Bill was born on July 24, 1923 to Orville and Myr­tle Green Lyn­erd.

He was a great hus­band and father and will be greatly missed by his chil­dren: Bob­bie Cal­loway of Sal­is­bury, MD, Wil­liam Jr. (Betty Ann) of Chicago, IL, Ed (Pat) of Rock Hall, MD, Dave (Char) of Conowingo, MD, and Ken (Mindy) of Cary, NC. He is also sur­vived by ten grand­chil­dren and 13 great-grand­chil­dren and one brother, Bob (Betty) of Way­nes­boro, PA, and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews. In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Bill was pre­ceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Emily Stro­bel Lyn­erd in 1995.

Bill served his coun­try in the Navy for 22 years, re­tir­ing as a Se­nior Chief Petty Officer, and also as a pip­efit­ter at Chrysler Corp. He
