Woodrow J. Grif­fith

Woodrow J. Grif­fith of Conowingo, MD, passed away sur­rounded by the love of his fam­ily, to the lov­ing arms of his Redeemer, Je­sus Christ, on Au­gust 4, 2016.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on July 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Woodrow W. Grif­fith and Maude E. (Zueger) Bowl­ing. Woodrow served in the U.S. Army dur­ing the Viet­nam War. He re­tired from the Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground Fire De­part­ment and the Sho­prite Gro­cery.

He loved fish­ing, watch­ing and play­ing base­ball and en­joyed the Ori­ole games. He also was a fan of the Ravens. He was an ac­tive mem­ber of the River City Bap­tist Church in Port De­posit, MD. Above all things, Woodrow loved his Lord and Sav­ior Je­sus Christ.

Sur­viv­ing to cher­ish his mem­ory are his wife Linda L. Grif­fith, his son Joshua J. Grif­fith and daugh­ter Re­becca S. Grif­fith, his step-chil­dren Mark D. McGee and his wife Pam, Guy D. McGee Jr, Carolyn M. Crouse and her hus­band Randy, and Con­nie L. Eller; grand­chil­dren, Mark McGee Jr, Sa­muel and Tina McGee, Paige Miller, Ju­lia Crouse and Kur­tis and Makayla Eller, and two great-grand­chil­dren.

Fam­ily and friends are in­vited to a visi­ta­tion at River City Bap­tist Church, 312 Craig­town Road, Port De­posit, MD 21904 on Mon­day, Au­gust 8, from 5-8 p.m. A Fu­neral Ser­vice will be cel­e­brated by Pas­tor Wil­lie Walton at River City Bap­tist Church, 312 Craig­town Road, Port De­posit, MD 21904 on Tues­day, Au­gust 9 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Highview Me­mo­rial Gar­dens.
