Mu­sic in the Barn show can­celled due to artist ill­ness

due to ill­ness, ac­cord­ing to his agent. He’d been sched­uled to play there at 8 p.m. on Thurs­day.

Trooper, a 60-year-old singer-song­writer whose 2015 al­bum “Live at the Rock Room” fur­ther ce­mented his prow­ess of the Amer­i­cana-folk genre with his fans, hopes to resched­ule his per­for­mance at Worsell Manor, though no date has been an­nounced. The New Jersey na­tive has re­leased 13 al­bums since 1986.

“I would like to ask ev­ery­one to add Greg to your prayers and to send lots of pos­i­tive en­ergy his way,” wrote Scott Mil­lar, Worsell Manor owner and Mu­sic in the Barn or­ga­nizer, un­der Worsell’s Face­book page. Mil­lar said they would re­fund any pay­ments re­ceived for this show.

The con­cert se­ries will pick up again on Sept. 15, when the ver­sa­tile, North Carolina- based Jeanne Jolly Band comes to War­wick. Their mu­sic com­bines fla­vors from a num­ber of gen­res, in­clud­ing coun­try, folk, jazz and soul.

Tick­ets cost $ 30 and can be pur­chased on­line or at the door.
