Music in the Barn show cancelled due to artist illness
— Greg Trooper’s performance at Worsell Manor’s “Music in the Barn” concert series was cancelled Monday night
due to illness, according to his agent. He’d been scheduled to play there at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Trooper, a 60-year-old singer-songwriter whose 2015 album “Live at the Rock Room” further cemented his prowess of the Americana-folk genre with his fans, hopes to reschedule his performance at Worsell Manor, though no date has been announced. The New Jersey native has released 13 albums since 1986.
“I would like to ask everyone to add Greg to your prayers and to send lots of positive energy his way,” wrote Scott Millar, Worsell Manor owner and Music in the Barn organizer, under Worsell’s Facebook page. Millar said they would refund any payments received for this show.
The concert series will pick up again on Sept. 15, when the versatile, North Carolina- based Jeanne Jolly Band comes to Warwick. Their music combines flavors from a number of genres, including country, folk, jazz and soul.
Tickets cost $ 30 and can be purchased online or at the door.
