William Jeremiah Stewart Jr.
William Jeremiah Stewart, Jr. of Lutherville-Timonium, MD, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on August 24, 2016.
He was the fourth of 8 children of William J. Stewart, Sr. and Catherine Mason Stewart, born in Port Deposit, Maryland on July 18, 1938. He served in the Army from 1961 until he was honorably discharged in 1964. He was a teacher and counselor in many Baltimore City public schools until he retired in 2007. He will be remembered most for his love of family, travel and adventure and his continuous quest for knowledge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Douglas, George and Richard Stewart.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Stewart, Fairfax, VA and his son, Jeremy Stewart (Jessica), Manns Harbor, NC; 2 grandsons, Jayce and Seamus Stewart; 2 brothers, Robert Stewart, Port Deposit, MD and John Stewart (Catalina), Baltimore, MD; 2 sisters, Joanne Walton (Arthur), Cleveland, Ohio and Rosemary Watson (Jesse), San Diego, CA; sister-in law, Loretta Stewart (George); 11 nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and nephews; one great great nephew; 2 aunts Edythe Mason and Rosie Mason, both of Baltimore, MD; his fiancé, Lucy Charles; and many cousins and friends.
The memorial service will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 4905 York Road Baltimore, Maryland (21212).
