Roads neglected for park money

Cecil Whig - - OPINION - FROM: NEAL MCCLEARY FAIR HILL

Our county roads are nothing but disgusting. They are worse than ever.

Granted some roads have been patched, but many more need to be repaired and trimmed. The Calvert money pit ( aka Calvert Regional Park) took millions of dollars to build, but our roads are neglected. More phases of the park are in the future.

The officials won’t let the public know how much the recreational center will cost. Yes, it’s important to have our tourism developed, but not at the expense of our roadways.

It will take a lot of entry fees to pay off the money spent.
