Ray B. Wil­son “Bunkie”

Ray B. “Bunkie” Wil­son, 86, of Charlestown, MD, went to meet his Lord and Sav­ior on Sun­day, Au­gust 28, 2016. Born in Perry Point, MD, he was the son of the late Grandville and Mable Calvert Wil­son.

A U.S. Army vet­eran of the Korean War, Mr. Wil­son re­tired from Perry Point Vet­er­ans Ad­min­is­tra­tion Med­i­cal Cen­ter af­ter 33 years as a boiler engi­neer. He faith­fully at­tended River City Bap­tist Church, Port De­posit, MD. Mr. Wil­son loved old cars and en­chanted many with his elec­tric trains.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife of 60 years: Lilia Boyer Wil­son; chil­dren: Mary Ca­dle (James), David Wil­son (Deb­o­rah), Carol Sel­dom­ridge (Daniel), Thomas Wil­son (Renée); brother: Melvin Wil­son (Har­ri­ett); grand­chil­dren: Tonya Sawyer (Jimmy), Jonathan Ca­dle (Wendy), Kevin Sel­dom­ridge (An­gela), Thomas Sel­dom­ridge (April), Paul, Matthew, Brooke and Sa­man­tha Wil­son; and great­grand­chil­dren: Am­ber, Alyssa, Alaina, Bas­tian, Xan­der and Tucker.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Wil­son was pre­ceded in death by his sis­ter: Mil­dred Hol­brook; grand­chil­dren: Bethany Wil­son and Allyson Wil­son; and great-grand­child: Baby Sel­dom­ridge.

Funeral ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m., Thurs­day, Septem­ber 1, 2016, at River City Bap­tist Church, 312 Craig­town Road, Port De­posit, MD, where visi­ta­tion will be­gin at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment with mil­i­tary hon­ors will be in Prin­ci­pio Methodist Ceme­tery, Per­ryville, MD.
