Ray B. Wilson “Bunkie”
Ray B. “Bunkie” Wilson, 86, of Charlestown, MD, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Born in Perry Point, MD, he was the son of the late Grandville and Mable Calvert Wilson.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Wilson retired from Perry Point Veterans Administration Medical Center after 33 years as a boiler engineer. He faithfully attended River City Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD. Mr. Wilson loved old cars and enchanted many with his electric trains.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Lilia Boyer Wilson; children: Mary Cadle (James), David Wilson (Deborah), Carol Seldomridge (Daniel), Thomas Wilson (Renée); brother: Melvin Wilson (Harriett); grandchildren: Tonya Sawyer (Jimmy), Jonathan Cadle (Wendy), Kevin Seldomridge (Angela), Thomas Seldomridge (April), Paul, Matthew, Brooke and Samantha Wilson; and greatgrandchildren: Amber, Alyssa, Alaina, Bastian, Xander and Tucker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his sister: Mildred Holbrook; grandchildren: Bethany Wilson and Allyson Wilson; and great-grandchild: Baby Seldomridge.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016, at River City Baptist Church, 312 Craigtown Road, Port Deposit, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in Principio Methodist Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
