Linda Ratzlaff, 87, passed peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Ronald Ratzlaff, and four children: Steven Ratzlaff, Gloria Smith, Donald Ratzlaff and Irene Turner. Linda was a loving grandmother to 19 and great-grandmother to more than 20 children. All who reside in Utah with the exception of Donald Ratzlaff, of Havre de Grace, MD, son, and Nicole Ramey, of North East, MD, granddaughter. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We will always love and miss you! St. Mary’s County, Md. At the time of her death, Mrs. Thompson lived in The Manor House in Seaford. She was a mother of three, an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with her family, church, painting, and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Fred W. Thompson, Jr. of Leonardtown, Md., and Mark C. Thompson of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Karen T. Herring and husband, David C. Herring, of Hurlock, Md.; four grandchildren, Katherine and Andrew Thompson, and Anna and Allison Herring; and a sister, Ruth Rogers of Ephrata, Pa.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 25550 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, Md. Inurnment will be later in Arlington National Cemetery next to her husband.
