Wanda Anne Furches


On Thurs­day, Septem­ber 1, 2016, Wanda Anne Furches, 84, passed from this life into the pres­ence of her Sav­ior, Je­sus Christ. Born in West Vir­ginia to Martha and An­drew White on March 30, 1932, Anne had made her res­i­dence in Elk­ton, MD, for the past 23 years.

Mrs. Furches moved to this area with her par­ents at the age of 12. She and her hus­band of 67 years, raised all five of their chil­dren in Delaware. Al­though Anne would oc­ca­sion­ally work out­side the home, she was hap­pi­est as a home­maker, car­ing for her hus­band, chil­dren, and ex­tended fam­ily.

Cur­rently a mem­ber of Faith South­ern Bap­tist Church, Anne was a Sun­day school teacher for over 45 years at sev­eral churches in the area where she is re­mem­bered as a a prayer warrior and a woman of great faith.

Anne loved to read, and in her younger years, fre­quently wrote po­etry and cre­ated art work. She loved mu­sic of many gen­res and took great joy in the mu­si­cal gifts of her chil­dren.

Both of Anne’s sib­lings, Au­drey Mat­ney and Edith Furches, are de­ceased; as well as her el­dest daugh­ter, Myra Lois Daniels. She is sur­vived by her hus­band, the love of her life, Mil­ton Zackary Furches, cur­rently of Ris­ing Sun, MD; her daughte,r Gail Denise White of Arkansas, and her hus­band Perry White; daugh­ter, Mon­ica Elaine Richard­son of Elk­ton and her hus­band Wil­liam; daugh­ter Rhonda Joyce Nor­ris of Elk­ton, and her hus­band Mark; and son Rev­erend Zackary Furches
