Ran­dall Carter Tester, oth­er­wise known as Randy, age 72, of Del­mar, MD and for­merly of Wilm­ing­ton , DE, passed away sud­denly at home on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 31, 2016.

Born in Hur­ley, VA, on Aug. 16, 1944, Randy was the son of the late Charles and Pearl (Hipps) Tester. He at­tended Hur­ley High School where he played bas­ket­ball and foot­ball. Randy grad­u­ated in 1962 and moved to Wilm­ing­ton in 1967. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. Randy worked as a fi­nal painter at the Gen­eral Mo­tors plant in Wilm­ing­ton, DE, from 1966 un­til his re­tire­ment in 1999.

A sports en­thu­si­ast and de­voted golfer, Randy proudly coached his chil­dren and grand­chil­dren in base­ball and soft­ball. He was a re­li­gious man and was a mem­ber of Cedars Church of Christ for many years.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Randy is pre­ceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and Es­tel Tester. He is sur­vived by the mother of his chil­dren, Su­san (Daigle) Tester, his sis­ters, Fran­cis Fry, Joyce Stalvey, Mar­garet Davis, and Char­lotte Bryant, and his brother, Glen Tester. He is also sur­vived by his chil­dren, Scott, Mar­lena, Russell, and Ash­ley, and his grand­chil­dren, Gavin, Au­tumn, Tal­mage, Liam, and Reese.
