— A man remains on the loose after robbing an Elkton- area pharmacy last week, the Cecil Coun-
ty Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.
The robbery occurred about 5: 45 p. m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 728 E. Pulaski Highway, according to Lt. Michael Holmes, a CCSO spokesman.
“The suspect walked up to the cashier, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money,” Holmes said, declining to specify the type of weapon that the bandit said he possessed to avoid compromising the active investigation.
After the employee handed over an undisclosed sum of cash, the man left the store and was last seen on foot as he headed south behind the store, Holmes reported.
The suspect is de- scribed as a white man who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, a black bandana and a black hat, police said.
A store surveillance camera videotaped the robbery, and investiga- tors have been studying the footage in hopes of identifying him, police added.
“We have been in contact with nearby ( police) agencies to see if there have been similar robberies,” Holmes said.
