Donald Victor Johnson Jr.
Donald Victor Johnson Jr., 56, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016, after a difficult bout with cancer at Season’s Hospice in Newark, DE. He was born June 25, 1960 in Phoenixville, PA, to the late Donald Victor and Ann (Snyder) Johnson.
Don attended Salisbury State College and graduated with a degree in Liberal Studies in 1982. After graduation, Don ran his own company involved in various carpentry related projects. A skilled craftsman, he could build anything that could be imagined out of wood. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking, biking, swimming, horseback riding, crabbing, tennis and anything else that kept him outside. He spent many years on his parents’ horse farm and loved farming. Don had many positive qualities but was best known for his incredible generosity and sense of humor, which will be missed by all.
Don is survived by his sister, Amy Johnson Carter Peters, of Denver, CO; his nieces, Sarah Beth, Melissa Ann, and Audrey Carter, also of Denver, CO; his aunts, Gerry Young of West Chester, PA, Emily Martin of Woodbridge, VA, and Lois Williams of Elkton, MD; and his uncles Kenny Snyder of New Holland, PA, and Stephan Snyder of Downingtown, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 15 at Moores Chapel United Methodist Church, 392 Blake Road, Elkton, MD 21921.
