Gary Web­ster Thomp­son, 56, of Per­ryville, MD, passed away Monday, Septem­ber 19, 2016, fol­low­ing a bat­tle with ALS. Born Dec. 5, 1959 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Sa­muel Ce­cil Thomp­son Jr. and Betty Jane Moore Thomp­son of Per­ryville.

Gary was a mem­ber of the First Bap­tist Church of Per­ryville and em­ployed by Am­trak as a Ma­te­rial Con­trol Truck Driver.

Gary is sur­vived by his wife, De­bra Lynne Zweifel Thomp­son of Per­ryville, MD; brothers, Sa­muel Rande Thomp­son, Ed­ward Arthur Thomp­son, Jef­frey Wade Thomp­son; sis­ter, Jane Thomp­son DeCourcey; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews; and sev­eral great nieces and neph­ews.

A memo­rial ser­vice is sched­uled for Satur­day, Septem­ber 24, 11 a.m. at the First Bap­tist Church of Per­ryville. Pas­tor Dr. John M.R. Gauger of the First Bap­tist Church of Per­ryville will of­fi­ci­ate.
