Ge­orge F. “Fred­die” Stout, 74, of Elk­ton, MD, passed away Fri­day, Septem­ber 16, 2016. Born in War, WV, on May 12, 1942, he was the son of the late Clyde T. and Kath­leen As­bury Stout.

Mr. Stout re­tired from Gen­eral Mo­tors Cor­po­ra­tion after 30 years of ser­vice. A mem­ber of UAW 435, he loved be­ing with his fam­ily, mu­sic and play­ing gui­tar. He en­joyed wood­work­ing and pho­tog­ra­phy.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife of 50 years, Sally Brewer Stout; daugh­ter, Terri L. Ewing and hus­band, Ab, Elk­ton, MD; grand­son, Al­bert J. Ewing II and wife Jeanette; great grand­chil­dren, Bre­anna G. and Jack G. Ewing; and sis­ters, Rita Stout, War, WV, Patsy Baily, Lau­r­in­burg, NC, and Judy As­bury, War, WV.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Stout was pre­ceded in death by brothers, Billy H. Stout and Arthur B. Stout.

Fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 12 Noon, Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 21, at Hicks Home for Funer­als, 103 W. Stock­ton St., Elk­ton, where visi­ta­tion will be­gin at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low the ser­vice in Rose Bank Ceme­tery, Calvert, MD.
