Seahawks men’s soccer notches first win in over two years
Cecil College defeated visiting Chesapeake College 5-1 in Maryland JUCO men’s soccer action Tuesday, recording their first win in more than two seasons.
Shadrach Ekeh (West Nottingham Academy) led Cecil with three goals and Logan Holtman (Rising Sun) and Gabriel Gonzalous each scored once, for the Seahawks (1-4-1 overall, 1-4 conference), who received two assists from Victor Surya and eight saves from goalkeeper Brad Alexander (Rising Sun).
UCBAC Girls’ Soccer North East 2, Perryville 1
Rose Benjamin and Jada Fulton (assist) both scored and Caroline Roberts added an assist for the Indians (22), who received seven saves from Delaney McDilda.
The Panthers fall to 1-3 overall.
UCBAC Volleyball North East 3, Patterson Mill 2
The Indians won by set scores of 18-25, 25-10, 15-25, 25-20 and 16-14.
Anna Gamble led North East (2-3 overall, 1-3 Chesapeake) with 15 kills, three blocks and three digs, Paige Schmidt had 32 assists, two kills and a dig and Loren Deaver recorded 20 digs and an ace, while Morgan Mock added 10 kills, nine digs and three service aces.
The Huskies fall to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the upper division.
Bohemia Manor 3, Havre de Grace 1
The Eagles improve to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the Susquehanna.
The Warriors fall to 2-2 overall and in the lower division.
UCBAC Golf Aberdeen 202, North Harford 214, North East 255
Zach Lockard shot a 44 and Nick Colman and Kasey Barrow both had 49s for the Indians, who received a 56 from Josh Choplinksy and a 57 from Abby Pinkerton.
Patterson Mill 221, Perryville 223
Jordyn Pollitt medaled with a 38 and Justin Eldreth added a 42 for the Panthers, who received a 46 from both Jake Eldreth and Matthew O’Neill and a 51 from Matt Mannone.
Private School Volleyball Tri-State Christian 3, DSD 0
Caroline Ford had five kills, Merissa Price had four kills and Tori Thompson added three kills, while Olivia Boas totaled seven assists and one dig and Madison Burrows notched six helpers, one kill and one dig for the Crusaders, who won by set scores of 25-14, 25-9 and 25-18.
Aubree Smith recorded two kills and two digs in the victory.
UCBAC Boys’ Soccer Rising Sun 4, Bohemia Manor 1
Martin Fernandez led the Tigers with two goals and an assist, Jason Kelch recorded a goal and an assist and Garrett Wilson scored once, while Braden Thomas added an assist for the Tigers (3-3), who received five saves in goal from Christopher Orr.
Robbie Messick scored the lone goal for the Eagles (22), who had five saves from Matt Lynn.
UCBAC Field Hockey Elkton 8, Havre de Grace 0
Erin DePaul scored four goals and Vanessa Dunn scored three times and added three assists, while Nicole Baldino also found the back of the cage for the Golden Elks (5-0 overall, 2-0 Susquehanna), who had two assists each from Maddie Rzucidlo and Brooklyn Rau.

The Tigers fall to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the Chesapeake Division.
