“It was good that we were able to turn the page [Sunday]. The starting pitching did a great job the last few days and that kind of set the tone for everything,” said Britton, who was also at the backend of the bullpen during the team’s journey to the ALCS two years ago. “It was big. We have the off day [Monday], but you’ve got to turn the page on this, too, and we have a tougher matchup in Toronto. That’s where our focus is going to be the next few days.
“It’s always a battle when we go up there and it’s prob- ably not going to be any different,” Britton added. “It’s good to at least get the sweep here.”
Baltimore left fielder Hyun Soo Kim, whose two-run home run in the second inning proved to be the difference Sunday, is participating in his first ever playoff chase in the major leagues. He signed with the Orioles in the offseason after playing 10 seasons in Korea.
“It’s a great feeling a week before the season is over that we’re still in it,” Kim said through an interpreter, “but it’s important that we’re in [the playoffs] after the week.”
