Per­ryville El­e­men­tary to be re-ded­i­cated Thurs­day

— School of­fi­cials and com­mu­nity mem­bers will come to­gether to re-ded­i­cate Per­ryville El­e­men­tary School on Thurs­day night fol­low­ing two years of ren­o­va­tions.

The cer­e­mony will take place at 5 p.m. Thurs­day at the school, lo­cated on May­wood Av­enue in Per­ryville. The com­mu­nity is in­vited to at­tend. Fol­low­ing the cer­e­mony, com­mu­nity mem­bers can also take tours of the ren­o­vated build­ing.

The $19 mil­lion ren­o­va­tion project in­cluded cre­at­ing a new se­cure en­trance, fill­ing in the school’s court­yard to build a me­dia cen­ter, ex­pand­ing the school’s class­rooms and en­larg­ing the gym.
