— Ari­anna Roslynn Bar­ber (Rose) born at Union Hos­pi­tal on Au­gust 16, 2016, she re­turned to Heaven on Septem­ber 21, 2016. Rose was born with Ed­wards Syn­drome and we knew we may not have her long so we gave her all our love while she was here. She will be in our hearts and mem­o­ries for­ever.

Rose is sur­vived by her mother, Sa­man­tha Bar­ber and fi­ancé Jimmy Day of Elkton; pa­ter­nal grand­fa­ther, John Bar­ber; great-grand­par­ents Charles and Linda Bar­ber; aunts, Ash­ley and Amie of Elkton; un­cle Jay-Jay of Ris­ing Sun; ma­ter­nal grand­mother Karen MacKen­zie (Stephen) of Bear, DE; and great-grand­par­ents Vince and Linda DiRub­bio of North East.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held on Fri­day, Septem­ber 30, 11:30 a.m. at Leeds United Methodist Church, 1579 Blue Ball Road, Elkton, MD, with Pas­tor Ch­eryl Sny­der pre­sid­ing.

In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to Ari­anna’s fam­ily c/o Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, P.O. Box 235, Galena, MD 21635.


A fan­tas­tic wife and mother, the love and care that she con­sis­tently and con­stantly showed her fam­ily – many times in small ways – will con­tinue to be a tremen­dous legacy to Becky.

She is pre­de­ceased by her fa­ther, Everett A. Pep­per, mother, Bernadette L. Pep­per, and two broth­ers, Richard Paul Pep­per and Robert James Pep­per.

Becky is sur­vived by her hus­band of 37 years, Thomas Duffy, and her two grown chil­dren, Brent and Al­i­son Duffy. Brent and his wife Natalie, re­side in Penn­syl­va­nia with Becky’s new­est loves, her 15-month-old­grand­daugh­ters Cameron and Alivia Duffy.

In an ef­fort to both ex­tend a “thank you” as well as con­tinue the joy that Becky found in read­ing, me­mo­rial gifts can be made to the Ce­cil County Pub­lic Li­brary in care of Lee A. Pat­ter­son & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Per­ryville, MD 21903-0766.

A view­ing is sched­uled for Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 28, 2016, 6 PM un­til 9 PM, at Trin­ity United Methodist Church, 450 Third St., Ch­e­sa­peake City, MD 21915. The funeral ser­vice is be­ing held Thurs­day, Septem­ber 29, 2016, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Pat­ter­son & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Per­ryville, MD, fol­lowed by in­ter­ment in North East Methodist Ceme­tery, North East, MD.
